The analysis, sequencing, and supervision of the tasks and providers necessary for the move-in, installation, maintenance, disassembly, and move-out activities associated with the event project.

 

Major Functions

Performance Elements

Task Analysis

Define the scope of suppliers and the tasks to be undertaken

Collect all spatial, time, equipment, and personnel requirements

Identify the capacities and constraints of the venue

Specify dependencies associated with the tasks to be undertaken

Task Sequencing

Identify start and end times and other deadlines for tasks

Specify time restrictions affecting scheduling of resources

Determine the order for tasks based on dependencies or priorities

Establish process flow chart and schedules

Task Positioning

Define proximity requirements or restrictions for tasks

Specify spatial capacities and associated temporary needs

Determine loading/unloading locations and routes

Integrate time, equipment, and personnel requirements

Contractor Coordination

Communicate and liaise with all suppliers and contractors

Conduct pre-event briefings with all suppliers and contractors

Monitor contractor performance to ensure proper fulfillment

Collaborate with contractors to identify problems and find solutions

Action Plan Execution

Ensure action plan encompasses all tasks from move-in through move-out

Make certain essential utilities are functional during move-in and move-out

Confirm and monitor all drayage and loading dock operations

Determine and comply with labor union jurisdiction requirements
